Shown here in 1:8 scale is the development of the victorious Lotus 72D has been has been re-created by Aspect model making in Wiltshire
this model is in the same size as our own 1963 Lotus 25 model. The Lotus 72 which was introduced in 1970 and the Spanish grand prix was
one of the most significant designs of the seventies, and it took Jochen Rindt to the world Title in 1970 and Emerson Fitipaldi to the title in
1972. shown here is the development for the Lotus 72D version built in 1973. with its rear wing mounted far to the rear . other interesting
features include torsion bar suspension and inboard mounted vented disc brakes.
These 1:8 scale Lotus 72D models have similar high levels of detail and
quality as the Lotus 18, 25 & 49 models showcased here.
One of the most notable features is the exacting scale white metal replica of the
Cosworth DFV and gearbox shown here in its raw unpainted form and to the rear the
large rear wing.
All these models are proudly hand built in the U.K. by a small team of talented model
makers. These models are going to be strictly limited to only 50 examples worldwide and
have been approved and licensed by Clive Chapman of Classic Team Lotus, If you would
